How do I Reach Sarpadhari Sarpadhari, the trek’s starting point?
The climb starts in Sarpadhari just 15 kilometers from Chikmagalur and the highway distance from Chikmagalur to Bangalore is about 242 kilometers. Chikmagalur is situated in the foothills of Mullayanagiri range and is connected to public transport that connects it to the major Karnataka cities. Once you reach Chikmagalur it is possible to hire a vehicle or take an express bus from the local area to Sarpadhari.If you’re coming from anywhere in Karnataka then take the highway towards Baba Budangiri after you reach Chikmagalur.
Make a left from a location called Kaimara. There is an intersection with a Y. If you turn left, it will take one to Mullayanagiri summit. You will travel for about half a mile along this road and look out for a small arch on your left. This is Sarpadhari where you will find the start point for the hike.
